I must disagree with Sonya Hartnett (‘The Beat Goes on’, February) and her assertion “despite the comings and goings of so many, the Yarra Bend Road car park is tidy, with hardly ever so much as a cigarette butt left behind. This busy place is painstakingly kept clean, free of evidence.” Though the car park may be tidy, while preparing for a work Christmas party at a nearby rotunda at Yarra Bend, a scream from a workmate alerted us to the presence of a couple of dozen used condoms strewn over the area.
