Shane Maloney is a great author, but it would have been good if he had added some more details to his November column about Lorenzo Montesini.
Maloney mentioned that Lorenzo self-published a novel, Cardboard Cantata, but failed to mention a more important publication: in 1999 Penguin published his memoir, My Life and Other Misdemeanours.
Maloney also failed to mention that Lorenzo has worked tirelessly raising funds for the Alexandria Library in Egypt. One such event was hosted by the governor of New South Wales, Professor Marie Bashir.
Lorenzo is funny, kind, generous and someone I am proud to call a friend.
