Vale Inga Clendinnen
1934–2016

Today we remember Inga Clendinnen, one of Australia’s great writers, historians and public intellectuals, who passed away yesterday, and extend our condolences to her family.

Her book reviews for the Monthly are available here; her last published piece can be read here. Readers may also be interested in her superb Quarterly Essay from 2006, The History Question.
