In this Sydney Writers' Festival event, our panellists discuss how this generation of Indigenous leaders is set to change the terms of engagement. Megan Davis’ essay in Griffith REVIEW 24: Participation Society argues for representation that gives women a stronger voice; Sarah Maddison’s new book is Black Politics, Inside the complexity of Aboriginal political culture; Wesley Enoch is a leading theatre director and playwright, with a vision for a National Indigenous Theatre Company and a major contributor to the Currency House Paper ‘Black is your genre’; and Gillian Cowlishaw is an author and respected anthropologist working with the Indigenous community in Mount Druitt.
