Sir Gustav Nossal: The Fifty Year Revolution in Global Public Health

Professor Sir Gustav Nossal AC CBE takes us on a guided tour through the remarkable changes that have occurred in the sphere of global health over the past 50 years. These include the eradication of smallpox, the near-eradication of poliomyelitis, extensive amelioration of iodine deficiency disorders, much more widespread treatment of AIDS, tuberculosis, leprosy and malaria, and ambitious global immunizations programmes. Nossal also addresses the areas still requiring work, particularly in the developing world.
