Part 1 | Part 2 [7]
Speaking at the Sydney Writers' Festival, renowned author and intellectual John Ralston Saul tells a packed Sydney Town Hall of the need to take a different view of the economic forces and ideas animating the world today. Taking a dim view of the neoliberal free-market philosophy that dominates (particularly) modern Western societies, Ralston Saul outlines its failures even as an effective economic philosophy, positing that to develop a stable and sustainable society we must look to new ideas and means to develop them.
