Irvine Welsh is the author of nine works of fiction. His first novel Trainspotting (1993) inspired both outrage and critical acclaim and has been published in 29 countries and also made into a successful feature film. His most recent works include Crime, The Bedroom Secrets of the Masterchefs and Reheated Cabbage (released in 2009).
