"Jack Cowin has joined the board of Fairfax Media, effective immediately, company chairman Roger Corbett announced on Thursday morning. Mr Cowin is also on the board of Ten Network and has been seen as an ally of the largest shareholder in Fairfax, Gina Rinehart."
