The Monthly Poll – a tipping competition by the Monthly magazine – tipped Labor to win, 52 to 48 per cent, in the 2010 federal election.
1,034 readers of the Monthly magazine cast their tips on 17–18 August supposing that Labor would secure 79 seats in the House of Representatives.
