Shane Maloney is in error when writing: “Sadly, only one of Australia’s 114 official National Living Treasures has ever appeared in an episode of Doctor Who” (Encounters, September 2010). I did so twice – at least 40 years ago. I was also in four Monty Pythons, a few Goodies, School for Sex, countless Z-Cars and was a stand-in for Tom Jones in his 1971 TV series for four months. Five years as a small-time actor with about three calls per week produced a vast, if insignificant, list of credits.
