Just to say I think the March edition of The Monthly is the best edition I've read.
The critique of Manning Clark is masterly.
Debbie Whitmont's piece on Afghanistan was likewise excellent.
Is there any possibility that you might cover the situation in West Papua? Having spoken to some of the West Papuans since their arrival a year ago I couldn't believe my ears when I heard the utter fabrications of the Indonesian Ambassador recently. They must think Australians are all stupid. I understand why the mainstream media won't touch the hot potato of West Papua, but please can The Monthly tackle the issue of the systematic rape of that country and its people?
