This month's (May) issue is outstanding. Having lived in Tasmania and been shocked by the reality there I totally appreciated Richard Flanagan's article and will contact Mr Rudd's Office to ask that he take time out to read it as he clearly respects your magazine, having had two very good articles published previously.
Helen Garner's piece on Raimond Gaita had me in tears and I don't know how well I'll stand up to the film; both Helen and Raimond are wonderful writers.
Anne Manne's commentary is very insightful and valid I believe; I'd love a copy of the "Melancholy Horse". I enjoyed Peter Conrad on Clive James and thank Shane Maloney for the interesting facts about the Middle East at the end of World War I.
