I was interested to read the 'Big Sushi' article by Justin McCurry (August 2006).

However, I was surprised that an article considering Japan, Australia and the politics of whaling would fail to consider the fact that much of the Japanese whaling occurs within the Australian Whale Sanctuary adjacent to Antarctica and breaches Australian law. This issue is currently the subject of litigation in the Federal Court of Australia. The failure to address this issue seems a significant gap in the article.
