Killing the Black Dog is Les Murray’s courageous account of his struggle with depression, accompanied by a special selection of his poems.

In this event at the State Library of Victoria, Les Murray talks candidly about some of the formative moments in his difficult early life, accompanying his stories with readings of poems about these same feelings and events.

Killing the Black Dog was first published in 1997 and has recently been re-released with additional new material.
