In this the Keynote Address for the inaugural Festival of Ideas at the University of Melbourne, Peter Doherty proposes that a broad-based and radical cultural shift is required in order to address the impending challenges brought by climate change. He heavily criticises the culture of denialism that is creeping back into Australian public discourse and suggests ways forward in bringing about the necessary cultural change.

Laureate Professor Peter Doherty is best known for winning the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1996.
